The Reading Rocket provides books to school age children who cannot easily access a community library so they can keep reading during the summer months. This access to books is a critical component for preventing learning loss that can occur when students are out of school.

The program also provides children and their families with opportunities to become life-long readers and learners. The Reading Rocket is a service provided to Hall County communities by the Hall County School District and is operated by the Hall County School Librarians Association.
