Roxie Miller Selected as Next Principal of Chicopee Woods Elementary School
Superintendent Will Schofield announced today his intent to recommend Roxie Miller as the next Principal of Chicopee Woods Elementary School. He will make the recommendation Monday, June 22, 2026, at the scheduled board meeting. Miller, who is currently serving as Associate Principal at Chicopee Woods Elementary, will replace Principal Robert Wilson, who will transition to the position of Director of School Improvement for the Hall County School District.
“I am incredibly honored and humbled to be named the next principal at Chicopee Woods Elementary School,” said Miller. “Over the past year, I have had the privilege of learning under Principal Robert Wilson, and it is my prayer to continue the great work already underway. Our students, staff, and families have worked to create strong academic momentum and a positive shift in our school culture, and I look forward to building on that progress together.”
Miller brings a wide range of instructional and leadership experience to her new role as Principal of Chicopee Woods Elementary School. She currently serves as Associate Principal at Chicopee Woods Elementary and previously served as Assistant Principal at Spout Springs School of Enrichment. Prior to moving into administration, Miller worked as an early intervention teacher at Wauka Mountain Multiple Intelligences Academy and taught at the elementary level at Wauka Mountain, Riverbend Advanced Scholars Academy, and Lyman Hall Elementary School.
“Roxie Miller has dedicated her career to serving and supporting elementary students across Hall County, and her experience as both a classroom teacher and school leader make her an excellent fit to lead Chicopee Woods Elementary School,” said Superintendent Will Schofield. “She understands the importance of strong instruction, student support, and building meaningful relationships with families and staff. Combined with her strong academic background in educational leadership and early childhood education, we are confident she will continue the tradition of excellence at Chicopee Woods.”
Miller earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership with Tier I Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia, a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education with a Gifted Endorsement from Piedmont College, and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Special Education with a minor in Spanish and a Reading Endorsement from the University of North Georgia.
