Superintendent Will Schofield announced today his intent to recommend Lynette Scheman as the next Principal of Myers Elementary School. He will make the recommendation Monday, June 22, 2026, at the scheduled board meeting. Scheman is currently serving as Principal at Lula Elementary.

“I am incredibly honored and humbled to be named the next principal of Myers Elementary School,” said Scheman. “I look forward to working alongside the dedicated faculty and staff as we continue to provide an enriching environment where every student can grow as a lifelong learner. Myers Elementary is a place where students are actively engaged in learning, challenged to reach their full potential, and supported every step of the way. It is a safe, nurturing, and welcoming school community that I am privileged to join. I am excited to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, families, and the community as we work together to continue the tradition of excellence that makes Myers Elementary such a special place.”

Scheman has 25 years of experience in the Hall County School District, with 12 years’ experience in administration. She has served as Principal of Lula Elementary since 2018. Prior to Lula, she served as Assistant Principal at Lanier Elementary School from 2013-2018.

The process for selecting the next Principal of Lula Elementary is underway.
