Hall County Increases Graduation Rate in 2025

Hall County School Flame

The Hall County School District is proud to announce a 4-year cohort graduation rate of 88.49% for the 2025 school year, surpassing the newly released state average of 87.2%.

Hall County’s performance continues to outpace state averages in key subgroups, demonstrating strong results across diverse populations.

“This year’s graduation results reflect the incredible effort of our students, families, and educators from kindergarten through graduation day,” said Superintendent Will Schofield. “We continue to see steady growth, particularly among groups of students that represent the heart of who we are as a community. These results affirm the power of persistence, teamwork, and a relentless belief in every student’s ability to succeed.”

Among the highlights of the 2025 4-year graduation cohort report:

  • Economically Disadvantaged Students: 90.39%, above the state average of 86.0%.
  • Hispanic Students: 85.21%, above the state average of 82.3%.
  • White Students: 92.62%, above the state average of 89.5%.
  • Black Students: 85.71%, slightly below the state average of 86.7%, but reflecting a significant increase from Hall’s 2024 rate of 81.6%.
  • Students with Disabilities: 84.07%, a remarkable gain from 73.1% in 2024, and well above the state average of 78.4%.
  • English Learners: 79.35%, up from 69.9% in 2024 and well above the state average of 72.7%.

Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning, Suzanne Jarrard, emphasized the importance of sustained progress across all groups:

“These gains, particularly among our students with disabilities, English Learners, and Hispanic students, are worth celebrating. They represent years of hard work, intentional focus, and a deep belief that all students can achieve at high levels,” Jarrard said. “At the same time, our mission remains clear—Character, Competency, and Rigor for All. We will continue striving to close gaps and ensure that every student leaves Hall County Schools prepared for success.”

The graduation rate remains one of the district’s key indicators of success, reflecting commitment to academic excellence and the vision of being the most caring place on earth for students and families.
