Hall County Schools will open the In-District Transfer Request Applications (Magnet and HB 251) for the 2026-2027 school year; the application period is Nov. 3 – Dec 12. To apply, parents/guardians will complete the google form application located on our website. The application will not be available online prior to Nov. 3. For more information, please visit the HCSD In-District Transfer Information webpage. Schools that will not be accepting transfer applications for the 2026-2027 school year will be listed online. Schools are closed by grade level unless noted.

Parents/Guardians who reside in the Hall County School District may request to have their child transferred to another public school within the district as long as there is available space. If approved, parents/guardians must provide transportation to and from the transfer school.

First, please check your new address with the School Attendance Map to confirm that your

address is within the Hall County School District. If your address is not in the Hall County School District, then you may still apply for 2026-2027 through the Out-of-District (Tuition) application process, opening up on March 2.

Rising kindergarten students have a separate application process opening up in March; they must first register at their zoned elementary school during kindergarten registration in March, prior to applying for an In District transfer request. If a transfer is approved, the registration information will be sent to the approved transfer school.
