Out-of-District Choice Application

Out-of-District Application Period for Fall 2020: March 2 – 31, 2020

Update: The Out-of-District application deadline will remain March 31, 2020 for the 2020 – 2021 school year; however, we will work with parents who have encountered delays due to schools being closed right now. Additionally, we will accept applications electronically. Please do not bring applications to the district office.

Please submit your child’s application, either by mail to the address listed below or by email to Joy.morris@hallco.org, postmarked by the deadline. Email Joy Morris if you are still working on getting the transcripts and other documents needed for a complete application.

The Out-of-District application period for the 2020-2021 school year is now open. For an application to be considered, student application and transcript should show, at a minimum, satisfactory behavior and attendance, as well as average or above-average achievement with no history of failing courses.

If a student is accepted into the Hall County School District, then he/she will be offered a seat at the requested school if there is available space at the requested school. Accepted out-of-district students pay tuition by June 1, 2020. (Note: Because of the current situation, tuition for out-of-district students is due on July 1, 2020, and we will accept it as late as August 3, 2020.)

If you are interested in applying, please read the documents below and complete the Out-of-District Application and all supporting documents for each student applying by March 31, 2020. Out-of-district students will only be placed at schools after in-district requests are processed.
