Jamie Hitzges, Principal of East Hall Middle, to Pursue Other Professional Opportunities
The Hall County School District expresses its appreciation for the service of Dr. Jamie Hitzges, principal of East Hall Middle School, who will be leaving the district at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 school year to pursue other professional opportunities. Dr. Hitzges has served the Hall County School District for nine years, previously leading Chicopee Woods Elementary School as principal from 2017 to 2022 and most recently serving as principal of East Hall Middle School.
“We are grateful to Jamie Hitzges for his dedicated service to the Hall County School District,” Superintendent Will Schofield said. “Jamie has a remarkable ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students, parents, and community stakeholders, and that has been a hallmark of his leadership. He consistently casts a clear vision and keeps his team focused on continuous improvement that supports both student learning and student well-being. His impact on the schools he has led and the people he has served will be felt for years to come.”
“I am so grateful to the Hall County School District to have been given the opportunity to learn and grow as an educator and principal, serving at two schools,” said Hitzges. “I will forever treasure the time that I was able to share with students, families and the school communities of East Hall Middle School and Chicopee Woods Elementary School.”
The search for Hitzges’ replacement for the 2026-27 school year will begin immediately.
The district wishes Dr. Hitzges well in all his future endeavors and is grateful for his service to the students of Hall County.
