Dr. Mandy Dale Selected as Director of Instructional Support
Superintendent Will Schofield announced today his intent to recommend Dr. Mandy Dale as the next Director of Instructional Support Services. He will make the recommendation Monday, June 22, 2026, at the scheduled board meeting. Dale, who is currently the Director of School Improvement and Assessment for Banks County Schools, will replace Eddie Millwood, who will retire at the end of the school year.
“I am honored to join the Hall County School District and collaborate with instructional leaders and teachers throughout the district,” said Dale. “I look forward to building strong relationships, supporting effective teaching and learning practices, and working together to create meaningful opportunities for success for all students.”
Throughout her career in education, Dale has served in a variety of leadership roles focused on instructional improvement, assessment, and student achievement. Prior to her current role with Banks County Schools as Director of School Improvement and Assessment, Dale also served the district as Director of Federal Programs and Assessment. In those leadership roles, she supported students and schools across grades K-12 through initiatives focused on school improvement, assessment, instructional support, and student achievement. Before serving at the district level, Dale was principal of Banks County Primary School and assistant principal at both Lula Elementary and Oakwood Elementary School in Hall County. She also held several instructional leadership positions at Sugar Hill Elementary School, including instructional coach, early intervention program teacher, department chair, and kindergarten teacher.
“Dr. Mandy Dale has served in a wide variety of roles over the course of her career,” said Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning Suzanne Jarrard. “These experiences will serve her well as Director of Instructional Support Services. She understands that strong instructional support begins with building relationships, supporting teachers and leaders, and using data to improve outcomes for students. Her experience at both the school and district levels has given her a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities schools face each day.”
