School from home day on January 21, 2025

in District News

The Hall County School District will have a school from home day on January 21, 2025. The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority.

Governor Brian Kemp has declared a statewide state of emergency ahead of anticipated winter weather, and Hall County is under a winter weather advisory. The timing and possibility of snow tomorrow morning has the potential to affect roadways immediately.

Students should access assignments through Canvas, prearranged packets from teachers , or assignments posted to their respective school websites. Additionally, schools may choose to send messages to families regarding assignments through Infinite Campus.

All 12-month employees are asked to report to their designated buildings at 8:00AM.

As of now, all after-school practices and extracurricular events scheduled for Tuesday, January 21 are canceled.
District officials will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions and will provide an update by 4:00PM Tuesday regarding school and extracurricular events scheduled for Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

——
