Last week at the State Capitol, Mrs. Smith had the incredible honor of accepting the Sandra Deal Excellence in Education Award from the Georgia Commission on Women as part of Georgia Champions for Change Day. This special recognition celebrates educators who embody Mrs. Deal’s lifelong dedication to literacy and learning.
