01\/22 – Winter Weather Update
\nDuring a briefing with the National Weather Service this afternoon at the Hall County Emergency Management Agency, the district confirmed that there is high probability of significant frozen precipitation this weekend. As a result, all extracurricular activities and field trips scheduled for Saturday and Sunday have been cancelled, including practices and rehearsals. In addition, all Friday night activities that include an overnight stay into Saturday are also cancelled. Coaches and sponsors may choose to reschedule these events for a later date.<\/p>\n
At this time, it is unclear whether conditions will allow for school or extracurricular activities on Monday. The district will continue to monitor conditions throughout the weekend and will rely on guidance from our partners at Hall County Emergency Management, the Hall County Sheriff\u2019s Office, and the National Weather Service. Families will be notified of plans for Monday as soon as possible on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Because there is a possibility of prolonged power outages, any student medications that require refrigeration should be picked up by a parent on Friday.<\/p>\n
