JHS Senior Named State Service Award Finalist by Prudential

On February 5, 2019, the Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary Principals (NAASP) announced the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards for 2019 for Georgia.

Rachel Korynoski, a senior at Johnson High School, was named a Distinguished Finalist for her impressive community service activities.  Specifically, the media release stated that she “has initiated and coordinated numerous community service projects for fellow students while serving as a leader of her school’s Interact Club and National Honor Society chapter.  Her projects have benefited homeless and hungry families, abandoned pets, the environment, and many other causes.”  Miss Korynoski, along with the other five Georgia Distinguished Finalists, will receive an engraved bronze medallion.

Since the Spirit of Community Awards program began in 1995, more than 125,000 young volunteers have been honored at the local, state, and national level.  The program is also conducted by Prudential subsidiaries in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Brazil, and Ireland.
