FBHS Odyssey of the Mind Team Wins World Championship

The Flowery Branch High School Odyssey of the Mind Team has won a World Championship in the 2018 Odyssey of the Mind (OM) World Finals.  Over 800 teams from around the globe competed in the annual international event that was staged from May 23 through May 26 on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.  The FBHS OM Team finished in 1st Place for Problem 2–“Emoji, Speak for Yourself.”

In addition to Flowery Branch High School winning the Gold Medal for Problem 2, the Odyssey of the Mind team from World Language Academy earned the Bronze Medal with a 3rd Place finish in the World Finals.

Three (3) other Hall County School District teams competed in the OM World Finals:

  • C.W. Davis Middle School: 5th Place in Animal House Structure Problem
  • Flowery Branch High School: 7th in Animal House Structure Problem
  • Flowery Branch High School: 22nd in Triathlon Travels Vehicle Problem
