BOE Approves Two (2) New Principals for the 2018-19 School-Year

At the May 14, 2018 work sessions, the Hall County Board of Education approved Superintendent Will Schofield’s two (2) recommendations for principal positions for the 2018-19 school year.

Mr. Ethan Banks, who currently serves as assistant principal/athletic director at West Hall High School, was approved to follow Mr. Rodney Stephens as West Hall Middle School Principal. Mr. Stephens had previously announced his intentions to resign at the end of the current school-year. Mr. Banks began at West Hall High School in 2005 as a teacher and coach. In 2010, he moved into administration, and then, in 2015 he became the athletic director for the Spartans.

Mr. Jared Belew, who currently serves as assistant principal at Spout Springs Elementary, was approved to follow Mrs. Arlene Thomas, who had previously announced her retirement effective at the end of the current school-year. Mr. Belew began his career in 2005 as the Media Specialist at Spout Springs Elementary. In 2014, he moved into administration taking the position of assistant principal at the school.
