As principal of Johnson High School, I am proud to welcome you to our outstanding school. One of six secondary schools run by the Hall County Board of Education, Johnson High School is true to its mission, "Advancing the Future One Child at a Time."
One of the oldest schools in our county, Johnson High School dates to 1972. The school has existed in four main buildings; the Performing Arts Center opened in 1996, and more recent additions include the health/weight/locker room facility, softball concessions, and the new fieldhouse adjacent to the football field. Our current student population of approximately 1,125 students is served by 90 certified staff members and 40 classified employee.
In 1996, Johnson High School was honored as a Georgia School of Excellence, the first Hall County high school to receive this accolade. The school has continued to move forward in recent years, and we are striving to maintain academic excellence while serving a diverse student population. The school has an outstanding record of athletic and co-curricular success in the state 7AAA classification.
Realizing that excellence in a fast changing world is an illusive goal, Johnson High School welcomes your input into the plans for our future. Our school community has devoted and will continue to devote the time and effort necessary to ensure the best education for every child.
