Counselor PDF Print

The counselor works with all children in the school through classroom guidance and other school-wide activities which promote personal growth and skill developement.  Children can experience "barriers" to learning and a school counselor offers assistance through small group and individual counseling if necessary.  Counselors consult and collaborate with teachers and parents to help children achieve their potential in school.  The counselor often links parents with outside resources and agencies which can assist them with their children.
