Student Athletes
NCAA Clearinghouse
In an effort to help, here is the information you need as an eligible senior. (NCAA requires a transcript showing completion of credits through the student’s junior year.) There is no need to register with NCAA until the student finishes his/her junior year of high school. It is necessary for athletes being recruited or possibly being recruited by Division I, Division II, and Division III (although no athletic scholarships are awarded by Division III schools) to register with the Clearinghouse. The website is www.ncaaclearinghouse.net. The student and/or the parent should complete this process. Print 2 copies of the release form. These copies must be given to Ruth Thom in the Counselor’s Office. The cost for registering is $60.00. They strongly encourage registering online. You must list ALL high schools attended and you must contact all of these high schools because they are required to send a transcript to NCAA. Please let Lynne Smith and/or Jennifer Rudeseal know of any questions. They will be happy to help any way they can. One other important note: The SAT and/or the ACT scores must be sent from them. Call SAT at 609-771-7600 and/or ACT at 319-337-1313 to order the scores to be sent to NCAA or include NCAA as one of the destinations for scores when registering for the SAT or ACT. The code you need to provide is 9999. There will be an approximate cost of $9.50 so be prepared with a credit card unless you include them when you register for the test(s).
