Media Center Hours

The media center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every school day.  A group of eight or more sent from each class must be accompanied by the teacher.  Those coming to the media center without a teacher must bring a signed agenda to serve as their pass.

Checking Out Materials

Students are provided with barcodes placed in the front of their agendas which are necessary for checking out materials.  They may check out three items at any one time.  Regular library books may be checked out for a two-week period.  Reference books and magazines may only be kept overnight.  Students are responsible for the safe return of all books and magazines.  If damaged or lost, it is the responsibility of the student who checked it out to pay for it.  No other books may be checked out until a lost item is paid for.  Certain extracurricular privileges will be lost if books are not returned within a reasonable time.

Internet Usage Policy

Students will not be allowed to use the Internet in the media center without direct classroom teacher or media specialist supervision.  Students are also not allowed to play games on the Internet in the media center.  For those who are accompanied by their teacher, a signed Internet permission form must be on file.
