Dear Parents,
Happy New Year!! Here we are in 2009!! We look forward to an exciting year! Our wonderful staff members began training to implement the Schoolwide Enrichment Model-Reading in order to help students enjoy learning to read and reading to learn. This is part of the research and preparation for becoming a charter school next fall. We are still in open discussion with staff and parents. The charter petition was sent in for state approval on October 29, 2008. The full charter petition is available on our school website, and a hard copy is in the library. Parent involvement will be an essential part of Schoolwide Enrichment Model implementation. It is our goal to increase parent involvement and commitment in order to increase student achievement. We love having parents at Sardis. We will be discussing this commitment regarding our charter petition at March 5th, 2009. at 7:00 pm. If you have questions or concerns prior to March 5th please feel free to call me at 770-532-0104. I look forward to your input.
Sincerely,
Jan Hughes
Stay in your place in line and go up the driveway toward the hill next to the school.
No one should park near the flag pole or beyond because preschoolers are being dropped off or picked up in that area daily.
We have one or more staff members present to assist students and to keep the area safe.
Please be patient and flexible. Our students’ safety is our main concern.
