Board Approves Three New Elementary Principals (Board of Education)
At the March 10, 2008 monthly business meeting, the Hall County Board of Education approved three new elementary principals for the upcoming 2008-09 school year:
• Mt. Vernon Elementary--Connie Daniels, the current principal of New Hope Elementary in Whitfield County, will be replacing Wayne Colston who has announced his retirement effective at the end of the current school year.

Hall Students Surpass State Pass Rate (Board of Education)
Hall County eighth grade students’ writing scores significantly outperformed the state average. 81% of Hall County System passed the writing test, compared to 78% for students state-wide. Additionally, county students outperformed the state in 7 of 8 subgroups measured.
