Mt. Vernon's Science clubs, established in 1997,
build upon student's natural curiosity and enthusiasm for science. Third through fifth
graders meet after school each month, by grade level, to observe, explore, and
manipulate exciting scientific experiments. Students focus on different
scientific skills on a variety of topics. Each Spring students are invited to
participate in a field trip that offers hands-on experience in a chosen
science area.
