Hall County School District juniors have significantly outperformed the state on the 2008 Georgia High School Graduation Test. Congratulations to our students and teachers for their hard work. It is noteworthy that North Hall High School missed a remarkable 100% of students passing the mathematics test by one student.

Johnson, North Hall, and West Hall High Schools have been notified by the International Baccalaureate Organization of North America that all three schools have been officially approved to begin offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program to their students. The three schools had their applications accepted on June 12, 2007, and this past fall, an authorization team from the IBO visited Johnson, North Hall, and West Hall as part of their application review.
The International Baccalaureate Program is a 2-year curriculum for high school juniors and seniors, which allows them to earn up to a year of college credit while learning from a rigorous and international curriculum.

NOTE: All Hall County students are eligible to apply for the program. Students in schools not yet offering the program but have an interest in applying should contact Amanda Griffin at Johnson High School.
Hall County Schools is preparing to open the World Language Academy in the existing Chestnut Mountain Elementary facility on Highway 53 in August of 2008. This public charter elementary school will be unique in that it will be a school of choice, will host both a dual-immersion school and a world language academy. In addition, it will have a teacher-development center partnership with North Georgia College and State University (the first in the north Georgia region).
