I am excited to be the new principal at Lyman Hall Elementary School. Our school has long had a reputation of having a nurturing, supportive, and joyful environment for all children.  I’ve had the opportunity to see this for myself and feel honored to be here.  Our staff is concerned with the safety of our children at all times, and has a focus on meeting our children’s specific learning needs.  Students are treated with respect, and above all else, we want each child to receive an education second to none.    
 
Lyman Hall has the reputation of rapidly improving student achievement. Children are tested and monitored in reading, writing, language arts and math throughout the year.  Parents receive a report card on progress every six weeks and are encouraged to support student learning by checking learning folders each day and staying in touch with teachers.  Our goal is for students to be well prepared socially, emotionally and academically for middle school upon completion of the 5th grade. 
 
Parents are welcome to visit at school at any time, including lunch.  We also encourage participation in our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), school field trips, and parent education classes that are provided throughout the year.  As these activities become available, we will send this information home in student folders.
 
Parents are also welcome to come by my office at any time and for any reason.  I look forward to getting to know the students, parents, and community members involved at Lyman Hall this year.
