Atlanta television channels 2 and 5, in light of the tragedy at Sandy Hook, are doing a story on school safety. Hall County Superintendent, Will Schofield, selected Johnson High School for that story. These Atlanta television stations have been at Johnson High School today. The story will air tonight at 4:00 and 5:00 pm on Channel 2 and at 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Channel 5.

Two informational sessions will be held for parents and students interested in participating in one of the Hall County Programs of Choice, which include both the JISA Program and IB Diploma Programme at Johnson High School. The informational sessions will be held on Tuesday, January 8 at The Oaks at LCCA. The morning session will be held from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and the evening session will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Please click here for more information.

IB Applications – Due February 1
JHS Students – Rising 11th grade JHS students are eligible to apply to participate in the JHS IB Diploma Programme. Students Not Zoned to Attend JHS – Rising 9th, 10th or 11th grade students who reside in the Hall County School District, as well as those outside of the Hall County School District, are also eligible to apply to participate in the JHS IB Diploma Programme. Parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from school for their child. A tuition fee will apply for students living outside of the Hall County School District. Any rising 9th grade student in the Hall County School District is eligible to apply to participate in the Johnson International Scholars Academy (JISA) at JHS. Parents of students not zoned to attend JHS must provide transportation to and from school for their child.
