Tri-M® is the international honor society recognizing secondary music students for their musical ability, academic excellence, school involvement, and community service. You may visit the Tri-M Honor Society webpage clicking on the links button above and choosing the National Webpage.
The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for middle/junior high and high school students. It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments and service activities, and to inspire other students to excel at music and leadership. Through more than 4,500 chartered chapters, Tri-M has helped thousands of young people provide years of service through music in schools throughout the world.
East Hall HS will be starting our own Tri-M chapter in January '06 to recognize and promote the accomplishments of our most outstanding and dedicated music students. Particpation in Tri-M is not limited to Band students only - rather it is an organization for Choral, Orchestral, Band and students of music of all types. Selection will be based on criteria established by the National Association for Music Education (MENC) and will be limited to students currently enrolled in a music class at East Hall High School.
You can download a preliminary copy of the chapter constitution. Once our first class of inductees are selected and initiated, we will work on creating a permanent Chapter Constitution and Bylaws. If you would like to learn more about Tri-M, see Mr. Craig Cantrell - chapter advisor!
