What is Winter Guard???
Winter Guard is a performing dance and flag group. This year, Mrs. Ausburn will be coordinating and instructing the EHHS Winter Guard. After two very successful seasons in the novice class, the East Hall winter guard will be moving up a level and competing in the Scholastic Regional A class in the Southern Association for Performing Arts Circuit (SAPA – www.sapaonline.net). When will the winter guard practice???
Beginning in November 30 and going through the first week in April, practices will be Mondays and Thursdays from 3:45-5:45. There will be occasional Friday rehearsals from 3:45-5:45 on the weeks there is a competition.
How much does winter guard cost???
The fees for winter guard will include the uniform, show flags, show equipment/props, competition costs, winter guard T-shirt and spinning gloves. The fees are $275 which is broken up into four payments due November 30 ($100), January 7 ($75), February 1 ($50) and March 1 ($50). Additional costs include the t-shirt and gloves are yours to keep.
How do I join winter guard???
There will be a clinic for interested students on Wednesday October 21, an informational meeting on Wednesday November 3, and auditions on Wednesday November 14. Members will be announced on Thursday November 15.
