Girls volleyball played 46 games this summer and finished with a record of 31-15.  We play Gainesville in a pre-season scrimmage here next Tuesday at 5:00.  Please come out and support your Lady  Vkings this season.

The East Hall Lady Vikings took their season record to 8-4 with wins over Johnson and Jackson Co. on Tuesday night in Oakwood.  The vikings defeated Johnson 25-17,25-17 and Jackson Co. 26-28, 25-23, 25-18.  West Hall defeated the Lady Vikings in 2 close games 25-22, 25-21.  Team stats for the night are as follows:

They defeated Flowery Branch in 3 games 25-21, 22-25, 25-22. The Lady Vikings then defeated Habersham Central in their second match in 3 games 15-25, 25-22, 25-19.  The Lady Vikings jumped on West Hall in their first game winning it 25-18 but West Hall won the next 2 games 21-25, 22-25.  All 3 matches were very competitive and the wins over Habersham and Flowery Branch are the first wins in school history over these programs for the vikings.  Team leaders for the night were:

The East Hall Lady Vikings volleyball team started off the 2011 season at the East Jackson Playdate on Saturday.  The Lady Vikings opened the season 3-1 giving the program its best start in school history.  The lady vikings had wins over Cedar Shoals 25-18, 25-18, Madison County 25-17, 25-7 and Lumpkin County 25-10, 25-17.  There only loss of the day came to Jackson County in a tough 3 game match 17-25, 25-18, 18-25.

The East Hall Lady Vikings won a hard fought battle against a very good Gainesville team 3 games to 1 in our annual pre-season scrimmage. Both teams played great defense all night.  The lady vikings won the first 2 games of the match 28-26, 25-23.  Gainesville rebounded in the third game to take it 27-25 and East Hall won the fourth game 25-19 to take the best of 5 match.Teams stats for East Hall are as follows:

Brittney Cambell - 12 pts. scored on serve, 2 aces, 3 kills, 15 assists and 6 digs

Kara Hix - 7 pts. scored on serve, 2 aces, 7 kills and 15 digs

Emily Hoggard - 5 pts. scored on serve, 1 ace, 5 kills and 4 digs

Emily Roberts added 4 pts. on serve and had 1 block

Tarryn Long had 2 kills, 11 digs and 1 block

Tatiana Castillo - 8 pts. scored on serve, 1 ace, 7 kills, and 10 digs

Latisha Shelton had 5 pts. scored on serve with 2 aces and 14 digs and

Sydney Farley added 4 key points on serve and added a dig late in game 2 to help the lady vikings secure the win.
