Our mission is to guide our students on the path to good citizenship by introducing them to the world beyond their own community and country.
To accomplish our mission we will complete one local and one national service project each year. The International Club meets every 2nd Friday of the month – Any one interested in doing service projects are eligible to join.
Future Business Leaders of America
Academic Team Academic Team participates in Jeopardy-style competitions with other middle schools. Our team currently has 15 members, but could include as many as 20. To become a member of the team, students must be in good academic standing with an overall B average or better. A good attitude and conduct are required as well as a strong sense of sportsmanship. The team practices on Mondays until 5pm. Competitions are held at local middle schools on Monday afternoons until 5:30 p.m. If the team has a successful season in local competition, they will progress to a regional meet in January. The winner of the regional meet moves to state competition which is held in late January or early February. Academic Team is coached by Janie Peace.
FCCLA FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) is open to any student interested in the Family and Consumer Sciences. Meetings alternate between Davis Designers on the 1st and 3rd week of the month and Falcon Foods on the 2nd and 4th week of the month. Meetings are on Tuesday afternoons until 5:00.
The club members are involved in several different types of activities. Club members have a few service projects they do themselves and they help FaCS classes with their projects. Services have included Thanksgiving food drive, Cookbooks for Christmas, and making a quilt for a needy child. Fundraising projects have included baking and delivering cookies on Valentine's Day and selling handmade Christmas ornaments. Other learning projects included making a scrapbook, covering and organizing notebooks, making snacks, making throw pillows, and terrariums. This group is sponsored by Ms. Gauntlett (Ms. G).
4-H 4-H is a worldwide youth group that sponsors programs and activities to build leadership, citizenship, and public speaking skills. Our school chapter is open to all who are interested. Student led meetings are held once a month here at school. 4-H provides students opportunity to become involved in project clubs that focus on a particular interest such as food, performing arts, goats, or archery. Students may also compete with 4-H members throughout the district by preparing a demonstration in a project area such as agriculture, computers, sports, or wildlife. This club is sponsored by Ms. Telford of the Hall County 4-H office and Ms. Sorrells.

Bee Healthy Club
The Bee Healthy Club is a healthy living club open to a limited number of C.W. Davis Middle School girls. The Club is a partnership among 4-H, Girl Scouts, and C.W. Davis Middle School. The goals of the club are to introduce students to learning how to improve their nutritional habits and to provide fun and interesting opportunities for physical activities. Meetings and activities begin immediately after school on Mondays in Ms. Gauntletts room. The first meeting each month will be held at C.W. Davis and the second meeting will include a field trip where girls can take part in fun, yet instructional activities such as swimming, gymnastics, dancing and hiking. The club will also offer opportunities for leadership and for girls to provide input into future club activities and projects. This club is sponsored by Ms. Tilford of the Hall County 4-H office and Ms. Sorrells. So, come on out and Bee Healthy!

Math Team Math Team is made up of eight advanced math students from the 7th and 8th grades.
Science Club Science Club is open to all students with an interest in science principles. The focus this year will be on competing in the regional Science Olympiad as well as a weekend science exploration to Cumberland Island. . Science Club is sponsored by Mr. Vorees.
Student Council Student Council is made up of one representative from each homeroom. The representatives are elected by their peers. The council meets the first Tuesday of every month during school hours. The Student Council is the voice between administration and students and is highly involved in the community (Can Food Drives, Toys for Tots).
Jr. Beta Club
The Jr. Beta Club recognizes outstanding acjievement, promotes character and social responsibility, encourages service involvement to school and community, fosters leadership skills, grants scholarships at the National level, and provides a setting for students to develop interpersonal relationship skills.
Students are invited to join the 8th grade Junior Beta Club by having demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, exemplifying worthy character, and maintaining a commendable attitude throughout their 7th grade year.
