7th Grade
Whether your child anticipates going to college, technical school, the workforce, or military, skills learned in business classes will be very helpful. They are the stepping stones for other business classes. Business classes greatly help in completing college work and/or in the workforce. All Business Education students will be introduced to the Internet and the importance of Internet Safety, and Internet Research. Students will also participate in a Career Exploration.
Attendance
Attendance is very important in school and in the workplace. Any assignments missed need to be completed before and/or after school. The computer lab will be open before at 7:30 a.m. and after school until 4:00 p.m. for makeup work. All materials are to be left in the classroom. Please try to be at school early (7:30 a.m.) the morning following an absence.
Multimedia
During a nine-week period, students will review keyboarding skills which will include proofreading and editing documents for spelling, spacing, punctuation, capitalization, and grammar errors. Multimedia also includes keying and editing business documents such as memos, letters, and reports using Microsoft Word. Through guided steps, students will learn to create presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint; they will also create a presentation using information gathered through research. Students will learn desktop publishing skills by designing business documents using Microsoft Publisher.
