A Message from the Principal

Chestnut Mountain Elementary has been a symbol of rich educational tradition in the community for generations. We have just completed our second year in our beautiful new facility. Many exciting changes have happened through the summer at Chestnut Mountain! This is our first year to have the Creative School of Inquiry (CSI), a program of choice for our third, fourth and fifth grade students. We are also offering dual-immersion Pre-K classes for students who will be 4 years old by September 1, 2010. The Pre-K students are taught Spanish through an immersion model.

Our school population includes approximately 620 students in Pre-K through fifth grade. We have an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and numerous Partners in Education which complete our school community. Our Partners in Education are listed below. Please support these businesses as they support our CMES students.

For new student registration, please click on the Information link. During the school year, our office is open daily from 7:15am to 4pm. We would like to thank Hall County Board of Education, Charles Black Construction, and the citizens of Hall County who have supported the SPLOST tax for making our dream a reality. We will continue the rich tradition of learning in our beautiful, facility.

 Sincerely,

 Sabrina May, Ph.D.
