Creative School of Inquiry

Although the first deadline date has passed, we are taking K - 2 CSI applications for our waiting list. Students will be placed throughout the summer as spots are available. All third, fourth and fifth grade students who attend CMES will participate in CSI.

We are excited to announce the Creative School of Inquiry (CSI) program of choice is expanding to include Kindergarten, First and Second grade students!

The Creative School of Inquiry (CSI) at Chestnut Mountain Elementary is a program of choice for parents of Kindergarten through Fifth grade students in Hall County.  CSI students learn Georgia Performance Standards through integrated units of study which promote research, inquiry, and choice in learning.  Students develop questions, research and discover the answers to their questions, then present what they have learned in creative ways. Technology is highly visible within  performance assessments, as students are creating and showcasing their learning using  web-based programs such as Animoto, Glogster, Voice-threads, You Tube, and green screen technology.  The various possibilities for students to demonstrate their learning are endless as inquiry, creativity and rigor continue to drive this program.  Interested parents are encouraged to attend an informational meeting to learn more about the program and how to apply.
