The Gainesville-Hall County Interagency Transition Council and the Georgia Mountains Regional Workforce Investment are pleased to co-sponsor the 2012 Resource, Education, and Career Expo for families of students with learning challenges and disabilities.
This event will be held at the Oaks on the campus of the Lanier Charter Career Academy, 2327 Tumbling Creek Rd. Gainesville, GA 30504 on Tuesday, March 6th from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
Admission is FREE. Exhibits will open at 10:00 am for students and families, and will provide information on college options, employment, recreation, health care, community resources, and more.
Student learning sessions will begin at10:00 and will include information on Employment Rights, Resume Building, Work Opportunities, and Post Secondary Disability Services. Family information sessions will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 and 4:00 - 5:00. Topics will include Medicaid waivers Wills, Trusts, and Guardianship.
