May 23rd -26th the C.W. Davis Odyssey of the Mind team traveled to Iowa State University to compete in the 2012 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals.  The team competed with teams for 40 states and 32 foreign countries such as China, Canada, Germany, Poland, India, Russia, Kazakhstan,and many others. 

There were 55 teams in the middle school technical structure problem and C.W. Davis was awarded Second Place for their solution to the "You Make the Call" structure problem at World Finals on Saturday night, May 26. Shibei Middle School, from Shanghai, China took First Place and  Boys Girls INV Club Toyota, from Toyota, Japan finished Third.

Davis Odyssey Team members are Cody Blystone, Rachael Faul, James Knight, Michaela Stubbs, Misa Suh, Daniel Torres, and Ali Winiesdorffer- Coached by C. W. Davis Middle teacher Kim Carroll.
