Hours The
Media Center opens to teachers each morning at 7:15. Students can come to
the library at any time during school hours, 7:50-2:00. Groups of students
from individual classrooms are encouraged to come in groups of up to four.
Children must wear library lanyards for hall passes and to check out books.
Laminating Laminating
is done by our SCSEP participant, Bonnell Dyer, each morning. Teachers are
requested to leave all materials to be laminated in the laminating room by 10:00
am. Anything left after 10:00 will be laminated the following morning.
Please attach teacher's name and directions for any special care to be taken.
Laminating will also be delivered usually by noon, on the same day.
Video Capabilities Upon
request teachers can have educational videos broadcast via closed circuit TV for
simultaneous viewing in chosen classrooms. The media staff will also tape
educational broadcasts for viewing at a later date. Of course, videos may
be checked out for individual classrooms.
Research The
media center staff is available to teach any groups research skills using
reference materials in the library and/or on the Internet. Please see the
media specialist to arrange a convenient date and time and to cooperatively plan
for the skills to be taught.
