We are excited that you have visited the Oakwood Elementary School website.  The mission of our school is to provide a safe, child-centered environment with emphasis on strong academics and social skills.  We have a rich history of successful students, and we are focused on school improvement that will allow us to continue that tradition.  We see Oakwood Elementary School as a place where students will gain the knowledge and skills to be successful at each educational level and to be prepared for life in the 21st century.

We have high expectations for all students and for ourselves as the faculty and staff at Oakwood Elementary School.  We hold ourselves accountable for making school a safe and nurturing place to learn not only academic knowledge and skills but also to learn mutual respect, responsibility, and self-confidence.  Parent and community involvement is very important to us, and we want to work to earn your trust and respect as we educate the boys and girls in our community.
