Desired Learner Outcomes
After gathering a variety of
data which takes into account the perceptions of all those who
have a stake in the achievement of our students, to include
parents, business partners, administrators, faculty, staff, and
students, we revisited and re-evaluated our existing student
goals. We found that our goals needed to be modified in order to
reflect our beliefs, our mission, and our vision. Our goals now
reflect what our T. E. A. M. believes that well-educated, graduating, 5th graders
will know and be able to do:
- Student learning in all
content areas, including technology, will be reflected by
the ability to problem solve, apply higher order thinking skills, and relate knowledge to everyday life.
- Students will communicate
effectively through speaking and writing, and be able to
utilize appropriate resources for obtaining and organizing
information in research.
- Students will demonstrate
organizational skills and work cooperatively to accomplish
goals.
- Students will demonstrate
social skills necessary to become productive citizens.
- Students will demonstrate
respect and tolerance for themselves and others varying
cultures.
These desired learner outcomes
are evidenced throughout our school and the success of these
outcomes is easily measurable with data collected form our
Student Achievement team.
