I. Target Area: Reading/ Language Arts
Measurable Objectives:
All Students will
raise achievement in Reading 1st– 5th grades from 75% meeting or exceeding
standard at the end of SY2005 to 80 %
meeting or exceeding standard at the end of SY2007 as measured by the Reading
Totals of the CRCT with a minimum of 95% participation for all subgroups.
Students in the
LEP subgroup will raise achievement in Reading/English Language Arts in
3rd– 5th grades from 61%
meeting or exceeding standard at the end of SY2006 to 70% meeting
or exceeding standard at the end of SY2007 as measured by the average
Reading& Language Arts Totals.
Specific domains and subgroups to address:
Reading for Meaning, Locating and Recall Information, and Grammar/Mechanics
Factors affecting student achievement to
address (Title I schools only) – % of ELLs
Reading Intervention for 1st grade (1st
semester) and 2nd grade (2 semester). Small Group for students in 2nd ,3r grade,

of teachers in Georgia R.I.S.E. and monitoring the implementation of R.I.S.E
for those previously trained. Goal is
to identify students who need additional reading support and provide support
through Reading Intervention, Boost, Team Time Tutoring, or peer tutoring. (C)

or exceeding standard at the end of SY2006 to 84% meeting or exceeding standard
at the end of SY2007 as measured by the GA CRCT with a minimum of 95%
participation for all subgroups.
