Early Release and Thanksgiving Holidays
Tuesday, November 24, is an early release date. Students will be dismissed at 11:10 a.m. This is an hour earlier than most early release days due to teacher furloughs.
There will be no school Wednesday, November 25, through Friday, November 27. Students will return to school Monday, November 30.
Fall Festival Fun
Martin's Fall Festival on Saturday, October 24, was a huge success. The Martin community enjoyed games, face painting, food, and fellowship. Thanks to PTO for organizing this fun event and fundraiser.
Martin Moves on with Charter
Martin parents and staff voted Tuesday to move forward with seeking charter status. The community overwhelmingly approved this at the PTO meeting. The school will seek state approval of charter status in November. If granted, Martin will open as a charter school in August 2010. Martin Elementary anticipates exciting changes for our students in the future.
