Applications are now being accepted for the 2010-2011 dual immersion pre-k program at Martin Elementary. Applications are available in the Martin office.
Complete the application, and return it to the Martin office. The lottery drawing will be March 15. Parents of children whose names are drawn will be contacted in April. At that time parents will be asked to complete enrollment paperwork. Official state approval for funding for the pre-k program is awarded in late May or June. All names chosen in the lottery are awarded a spot in the program pending state funding. Enrollment will be confirmed when state funding is awarded.
Martin Elementary begins the use of standards based report cards for the third six weeks in first and second grades. Report cards for the third six weeks go home Wednesday, January 6. Parents with children in grades one and two have been asked to come in for a conference with the teacher to go over the first standards based report card.
Next school year, 2010-2011, first and second grades will continue issuing standards based report cards, and third grade will begin issuing standards based report cards.
To find out more about standards based report cards, go to the parents tab from the main menu and select parent resource documents.
