Summer Hours
Tuesday and Thursday 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Read this summer to turn Mrs. E.'s hair blue. If Martin students read 500,000 minutes this summer Mrs. E. will turn her hair blue.
What can you do?
Read 20 minutes a day, five days a week this summer. If all Martin students do this, together you all will read 500,000 minutes. The student who reads the most in each grade level will get to help color Mrs. E.'s hair. A reading log went home with every student at the end of the year. Use this log to keep up with your reading, or just record your reading on notebook paper. Be sure to bring your reading log to school in August.
Students against Teachers
See if you can read more this summer than your teacher. If the students read more than the teachers, your teachers will serve you for an entire day. If the teachers read more than the students, Mrs. E. will get on the roof of Martin and sing the chicken dance.
