Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS) is a group of students that meet every Wednesday morning in the gym of Lula Elementary. This group has been meeting for the past 10 years in various areas of the school for 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the school day on Wednesday morning. The goal of this group is to inspire each student to do their best, respect their peers and promote cooperation with their teachers as they assist them in their education. Bible stories are used in achieving this goal along with life stories. The speakers and sponsors of this group do not promote denomination or doctrine in their lessons yet give an ear to each child as they travel along life's journey. Each child is rewarded with a treat as they leave the meeting. This group is not promoted by the school and it is at the child's discretion to participate.
