Welcome to Lula Elementary
Welcome to Lula Elementary School, where our mission is to empower students to be lifelong learners and enable them to achieve their maximum potential. We are a proud part of the Hall County Public School System. Lula has a student population of approximately 530.
We live in a small, very supportive community that has high expectations for our students. The PTO and parent volunteers play an active role at Lula Elementary. We are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
We have consistently achieved Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), based on No Child Left Behind (NCLB) and Georgia Department of Education requirements. With the implementation of Hall County’s Balanced Literacy framework and Singapore Math, we believe that students will be prepared to compete in the 21st century. Mr. Alexander receives a check from Angie Shockley from the Lula Circle M, Exxon store. This $1000.00 grant from Circle M/Exxon will be used to purchase technology for the students at Lula Elementary. Thank you Circle M of Lula.
LeapFrog Ambassador
Tina Carol Blalock was chosen as one of sixteen kindergarten teachers across the country to serve as a LeapFrog Teacher Ambassador. Mrs. Blalock received an all expenses paid trip to the San Francisco Bay area of California to visit the LeapFrog Headquarters. She was treated to a tour of the “Pond”, where she learned how the LeapFrog educational learning tools are created. During the stay, LeapFrog also provided the sixteen teachers with a private trolley tour of San Francisco, a teacher gift bag, and daily meals from neighboring restaurants.
The most exciting outcome from this experience is that Mrs. Blalock’s classroom at Lula Elementary School in Hall County will receive a variety of LeapFrog technology tools. She will be in close contact with the LeapFrog Corporation throughout the school year to share how these items benefit her students’ academic learning experience.
