Welcome to Lula Elementary School. We are a proud part of the Hall County Public School System. Located in the northeastern corner of the county in the foothills of the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains, Lula has a student population of 518 with 39 certified instructors.

We live in a small, very supportive community that has high expectations for our students. We are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Our standardized test scores are consistently above the state and local averages in reading and mathematics. We are one of  the leading schools in the number of  books read per student and utilize a variety of reading incentive programs to encourage students to focus on reading. We have consistently achieved Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), based on No Child Left Behind (NCLB) and Georgia Department of Education requirements.

Attendance is a very important ingredient of AYP. Attendance incentives were begun during the last school year, 2004-2005. Average missed school days by students decreased from 14.7% to 11%. During the 2005-2006 school year, attendance further declined to 7%. However, this past school year, attendance increased slightly to 8%.

Our mission is to provide a solid foundation for life long learning upon which each student can achieve his or  her maximum potential.
