Lula Elementary honors Major Kevin Jenrette who lost his life in Afghanistan in the service of our nation. As you read this remember that it is only because of brave Americans like Major Jenrette we are able to enjoy our many freedoms. Major Jenrette’s children attend Lula Elementary. Lula Elementary School gets a facelift on the front entryway….

The fifth grade class of 2009 wanted to leave something special for our school.  We thought our front entryway needed a more defined look so we decided to fund a school sign.

Fifth Graders raised money by hosting treat-o-grams in the fall,  hug-o-grams in the winter months (where kids sent each other a treat for .50 each) students also designed and sold Christmas Cards and worked with the Tanger Outlet Mall in Commerce by selling coupon books before the holidays. Students and parents worked hard during the year raising money for 5th grade activities and we appreciate their hard work.

Our brick was stained by a local Paint Contractor, Mr. Mack Dover, at no cost to the school and Mr. Tommy Wiley with Charles Black Construction was very helpful in getting our letters ordered and installed.

We are proud of our school and our new look.
